It's a lot more complexed than that since that only affects a small handful of bands that practice on Dike street. Politics and the fact that the city put in half of the 3 million to open the club in the first place and the dude already owning Firehouse 13 have a bit to do with it. Urban developement and the future of onlyville warehouses being turned into luxury loft apartments and fete being the first upscale establishment in the area to cater to the future yuppies also plays a role. Aside from that it is one of the nicest and best sounding clubs I have ever been to. The drinks are the same price as every other bar in town, much cheaper than at a venue like Lupos or the Palladium. The place isn't going anywhere anytime soon so you might as well suck it up and enjoy the show. |
