The Jack Black movie, School of Rock (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0332379/), which plainly demonstrated Black's lack of comedic skills necessary to play a lead role in a funny movie, was actually more or less based on a real school, which was the subject of the real documentary, Rock School (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0436727/) from a couple years earlier. The real school is called School of Rock, which is based around here, and occasionally does shows like this all the time at venues like the Middle East, although usually not metal. Unfortunately this school now employs the "Fuck the Fire Department", wannabe still-high school goth, yet rapidly aging, nu-metal show promoting annoying Othniel77, with her incredibly inflated ego and delusions that the music industry is still in the 80's, where the only reason anyone wants to be in a metal band is to become big and famous, and everyone else are considered "hobby rockers." I kind of feel bad for these kids. |
