Who are these bands
1. There's these things called websites on these intertubez here where you get to click on a band's music and listen to it. 2. For starters, Lords Anointed are from MA not where I live in CT, Lightsbane is from southern CT near NY but they were just on NEMHF this year in Worcester, and Suicide Dream (my band) has headlined over a hundred shows across MA, CT, and RI and been regularly performing in the northeastern metal scene for well over a decade, playing shows with Crowbar Overkill Type O Negative Exodus Moonspell Mastodon Doro Pesche too many to list blah blah blah and going from Maine to Indiana. It's one thing not to like us, that's fine, but if you haven't even heard of our name, you don't appear to be very familiar with the northeastern metal scene to the point where I'm surprised you would even be posting on a site like this. But maybe you're new. I've only been posting Suicide Dream shows here on rttp for ten years now.
and why would anyone pay $30 to see them?
1. the idea is that people will be encouraged to buy half price tickets in advance instead, committing a large crowd to the show investing in going instead of flying by the seat of our pants the night of and seeing which way the wind blows - it's especially important to know the draw for a big show like this where you have to get the right amount of food in order to not totally overshoot or undershoot it. 2. all of them are hard working bands in the New England metal scene that get out there often and play originals, and they identify as metal - not metalcore - and there's no promoter taking a cut. 3. there's this really cool thing called going out and watching new bands that are writing and performing metal in case you might like some of them, and supporting the New England metal scene.
no thanks
