[QUOTE="the_reverend:1366520"]ANCIENT VVISDOM PREMIERES 'NEVER LIVE AGAIN' MUSIC VIDEO Texas quintet prepares for upcoming 'Pagan Rites' headlining tour dates "In horror, we are joined together to unveil the 'Never Live Again' music video," proclaims ANCIENT VVISDOM vocalist Nathan Opposition as he reveals the haunting clip for the occult/dark rock group's new single, taken from their equally forebodingly-named sophomore release "Deathlike." Directed by Nathan Daughdrill (Neight Media), "Never Live Again" can be seen exclusively on Bloody-Disgusting.com HERE. http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/3244953/exclusive-get-bewitched-by-the-ancient-vvisdom-never-live-again-music-video-premiere/ "In this video," says Opposition, "we wanted to portray horror and the fine art of self-awakening. The executioner stands as the final act of judgment upon your mortal existence. Because we're all dying to live, I challenge the listeners and viewers to go beyond the realms of their own consciousness to expand the mind into a new positive reality while they still have time. Inspired by Black Sabbath's 'Killing Yourself To Live,' I wrote this song to invoke change. I believe this generation needs to learn a thing or two about their own existence." Next week, ANCIENT VVISDOM will open for metal legends PENTAGRAM in AVV's hometown of Austin before embarking on the "Pagan Rites" tour -- the band's first tour since a winter run with Enslaved and Royal Thunder -- with support from psychedelic rockers The Saint James Society and, on select dates, Bloody Hammers. A video trailer for the tour can be seen HERE; a complete listing of dates can be found below. "Deathlike" is the follow-up to ANCIENT VVISDOM's 2011 debut "A Godlike Inferno." That album, supported by a national trek with Ghost during that band's inaugural U.S. tour, led the band to receive nominations for a Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award ("Best Underground Band") and a Classic Rock Award ("Best New Band"). Likened to "the folky grunge of Alice in Chains" by the New York Times, who praised its "churning, dark skeletal songs," "Deathlike" was mixed and mastered by engineer/co-producer Jason Buntz (Jet, The Darkness, ...Trail of Dead) and Jack Control. Recorded utilizing unusual percussion such as railroad spikes, chains, bullets, and machetes, the album continues to establish the band's archaic sound while creating an almost apocalyptic atmosphere with the addition of heavy electric guitars.
