yeah, it gets better. stretch your yeti hamstrings (heel up to your back, and also my favorite one: put your foot flat on a table and bring your knee to your chest, lean into it), lower back (hands to your toes). work on your core. if you notice when you keep your posture straight and your core firm when you walk it doesn't hurt. work on those muscles. stretch all the time. mine comes and goes. aleve or asprin help but you know, the only thing that fixes it is stretching, exercise, and time. just watch your posture and keep stretching, it goes away. your mind has something to do with it but it's a nerve problem and reading a book doesn't make it go away.

The book won't make it go away, but it will help to keep you from fixating on the pain (hence, making it worse).

Stretching and exercise is definitely key. Also a good chiropractor can help -- some are quacks, some are great, choose wisely.

Also, foam rollers are great (and cheap), roll that shit right out: [img]

thanks. I've been doing some stretching, the problem is getting to a point where the pain isn't explosive and I can stretch. I slept on a shitty bed and woke up with it. it reminds me that i'm 32 and can't fuck around anymore.

mine kicked in when i was limping downstairs with a sprained knee. it switches every few months from not being able to sleep to being able to play soccer and not even think about it. also, RIDE A BIKE! mine has been flaring up the past few weeks but i hopped on the bike for a few days straight and it really helped calm it down. right now it's fine just gotta watch that posture.

Really, that stupid foam thing was one of the best things I've ever bought for $20.

Just go slow and use lots of lube. Soft music should help, too.

Walk it off faggets, walk it out and give me 5 laps around the field.

I got two herniated discs and had sciatica. After seeing the chiro and stretching for a year, sciatica is gone. Pain in the back from the discs is still there. Try core exercises and maybe a deep tissue massage. Those can be expensive, but really make you feel great. I also pop aleve every fucking day.

If it is unbearable you could always try getting a cortisone shot. I don't have sciatic pain but I have discs degenerating in my lower spine. The best thing for me has been working on my core.
