Instead, he's in so many scenes in Episode I (and those god damn Clone Wars cartoons), that the film is 10X worse than it might have been otherwise. But yes, I am completely psyched about Episode VII. I don't think Disney will ruin it. They want to earn back the insane amount they paid Lucas for the rights to the franchise, and then some. They're - most likely - going to attempt a film that balances what original trilogy fans, prequel trilogy fans, fans of all 6 films, and (hopefully to a lesser extent) children would want to see. Then again, Empire is the best of the original, so maybe - between Kasdan and Abrams - the attitude behind the writing will reflect what they think old school Star Wars nerds (like myself) have been waiting for. |
