I think this is actually an awesome idea. Obviously people who download a band's music are gonna go to their shows and buy their merch. Better in this day and age to go about it like this instead of fighting a losing battle to stop illegal downloading altogether.

Thoughts?

P.S. Feel free to log out and tell me how you really feel.

Also, I know this was a bit long winded so shutup fagget to myself.

great idea but they could sell out stadiums anywhere in the world so i dont really see the point. might a better idea for struggling bands though

The thing is though, how many bands that aren't on Iron Maiden's level actually have the resources to actually keep track of illegal downloads? Maybe there's a way to do it I'm just not aware of but if such a thing exists, would someone be so kind as to enlighten me?

Upload the music yourself as a plant and track the IP's it gets seeded to for a general location?
I got tagged a decade ago by NBC or MGM or something with 3 cease and desist letters delivered certified mail because I downloaded three movies they produced from the pirate bay. .....which they uploaded themselves with an account to entrap downloaders and seeders.
