Hatebreed were freaking awesome. People were just kicking the crap out of each other left and right. Biohazard....well I hate Biohazard so I kinda just slept during their set. MPB were decent. The Avalon is too big a venue for them, so not that many people were dancing to them or anything. Also, Rob just doesn't fit as the new singer. He kept on screwing up and handing the mic to the crowd during the parts he didn't know. Finally, Full Blown Chaos were just generic, breakdown heavy hardcore. Nothing special. |

______________________________________ [Feb 24,2003 1:27am - the_reverend ""] http://www.returntothepit.com/concert.php?date=2003-02-23&did=866 thank you to amy! the audience was weird.. was the marilyn manson show cancelled? there was an awefull lot of of mm shirts... and an aweful lack of guys with shaved heads. anyone out there thinking of making their own shirt with words from a mm or slipknot song, don't. Violent Reality: I'm not sure how long these guys have been together, but they have a pretty sizable following. Tons of kids dance for them and sing along. I unfortonately don't know any of their songs, yet. full blown chaos: brooklyn represent! FBC's ny new hardcore will always convince me to drive. I'm so glad the crowds dig these guys. I can't wait to get a CD of theirs some day. most precious blood: it started out with sluts kissing on stage and then broke in to an awesome set (after a disclaimer). It took some time to get used to the new singer (formally singer of a band you haven't heard of for a while, one king down). It might take you a little while to get used to the new singers sound, but put your hood up if you got it and try to follow along. biohazard: I've never been a fan of them, but their set was really good. Sort of makes me want to toss on the new CD when it comes out and re-listen to the old stuff. The best part of the show wasn't watch the girl flash the lead singer, it was watching the boyfriend of the girl (who was flashing the leadsinger) getting all pissed off and trying to cover her up and stuff. hatebreed: Not my favorite set of theirs (that would be the lupos show which was much longer) and not the worse (that would be 3 nemhf ago when ac lead man seth putman was taken out by hand cuffs), but still this was awesome. the crowd seemed to have a little bit more energy than hatebreed themselves who couldn't find jamie until he finally came on stage. I must say, each time I see them, they are winning me over more and more with the new CD; It's sort of blending in with satifcation. For the last songs, the crowd was like a wirlwind of people, crowd walkers, stage divers, and peope hanging from the rafters. Was it just me or did they say 3 more songs and only play 2 more? Maybe they were sick. I noticed they ran off the stage really quickly. |
