They were opening for GWAR at House of Blues later that night. (I wanted to go, but had plans already ....) Anyway, I was out of a meeting and heading back to my job in the city, when I saw this smashed up van as I was merging onto I-10. A glimpse at the metalheads and I immediately knew it was for the GWAR show and thought 'I bet that's PATHOLO--- I mean DECAPITATED". I felt bad for them and kinda wished I could have stopped - but the merge connected past where they were (you can see the little barrier they are all leaning against.) The van was fucked and there were already other trucks their pulling stuff away. Weird. They lost a drummer that way years ago. [img] [img] |

In 2007, DECAPITATED was involved in a tragic tour bus accident, claiming the life of drummer Witold “Vitek” Kiełtyka and leaving vocalist Adrian “Covan” Kowanek with limb paralysis. New vocalist Rafal stated: “I’m used to it because a couple of years ago, like three years ago, we had a [plane] landing without wheels. This band is professional at accidents.
