| _______________________________________ [Jul 23,2004 12:34am - the_reverend ""] sin of angels: slow and sludgy doom. the singer was in a band I saw at the livingroom a while ago, but I forget their name. he's only been singing for this band for a month of so. on broken wings: they weren't slated to play, but for some reason they showed up and played. their new stuff sounds like cannae. The singer's all better and wasn't limping around like this passed winter. the nightmare continues: how many people does it take to hold up a drumset? I was warned about the new song so I knew to look out for it. sounded excellent. in dire need: their last show... ever.. they promise. the mic was cutting out at first, but then they fixed that and continued on with the show. It seemed that everyone was tipped off about the last appearence of TAFC cause they were all standing beside the stage. during the last song, masked men ran in and unloaded a bag of cow hearts, fish, chicken's feet, and eggs. Needless to say, this ended the show. cannae: didn't play... misery index: didn't play... make that the second show in a row that is a 2 hour drive from my house and it gets shut down early... reminds me of drifters. |

Note that Cannae was ready to fight and Misery Index wasn't really phased at all by the event. Cannae pretty much lost all interest in playing as soon as the smell settled in. I doubt that Misery Index is too scared to come back here and I'm sure they know that In Dire Need was one of kind and not every single band in this area is like them. What's the deal with hating MI? Is it because Harrison started up that relapse thread last year? Anyways it was gay that the show got shut down. A riot would have been a more suitable cause. the fire on the drums was next to nothing cause it went out after about 10 seconds (no even) and went out on it's own. people got sand in their twats real fast. Chrisabomb could have stopped it since he was on stage video taping the hurling. I think it's funny that everyone whose bitching about the show being shut down wasn't even at the show. whatever, the kids got heart. good show good show. |

Also on the up, i got Liturgy's Dawn of Ash which, as much as i enjoy matti's vocals, the musicianship still sounds sloppily done to me. As for anyone thinking Misery Index was pissed or they wouldn't play here again. Wrong. Whenever I see them they remember that show and want to come back specifically because of the "fish fest". |
