I don't know that I have ever been able to have a real friend. It's not that people haven't tried to befriend me, but my short fuse and gigantic ego have made it incredibly difficult to reciprocate that friendship. I've always struggled to empathize with others, and I'm sure that hasn't helped either. Now that I am a father I have started to see the world differently. I am committed to finally embracing adulthood, and the first step is to apologize to those I've hurt over the years. |
