I can't kill this topic yet. When the idea was presented to me to have a demonstration outside metalfest back in Feb, I jumped for it, since it was intended to be an Anti-War, Pro-European rally for metalheads just looking to hang out and take a stand for their rights. I informed the organizer that I was planning to be in the parking lot with friends (who are non-metal) drinking beer with a grill and some food, your basic tailgate party. I sent him a link for the North East True Metal Alliance, which was co-founded by me, since this would be the type of action that we were seeking to aim with the Alliance. I came in contact with the director of this event and he posted our link next to the church of the creator and the aryan brotherhood one, both which at the time and still now I openly stand defiant against. Our link was on the page, and my webmaster became furious, due to the nature of association that was now surrounding us and took down the page and terminated the project, I support his decision fully. We never asked to be linked up but we were and it appeared that we were going to be a major source of support, when really none of us were interested in supporting a "nazi march" as several gullibly numb people around the scene labeled the event to be. For the most part, there are a few key circumstances that prevented this from happening. 1. The complete dilution of Metalheads, this wasn't metal and hardcore fest, this was a hardcore fest. What was there like a dozen metal bands and about 3 dozen hardcore bands? Fuck Scott Lee. 2. The second day was sold out a week before hand. Many people attending this weren't part of the crowd winning tickets from the radio, or buying them from strawberries, as well as just didn't feel the need to attend the fest because of the shitty lineup and headliners. 3. Poor organization. The event became knowledge mostly through word of mouth (aka telephone, a gossip game played by school kids). The original intention was to be Anti-War, but due to the "end?" of the war it shifted to a more Anti-Israeli mindset (this intention was brought about by numbing ways of Judeo-Christianity, read the Antichrist). God and humanity are always Death and Black Metal's biggest enemies. It sucks that hardcore loves them both. I can't see this event being a victory for hardcore or metal. I found hardcore kids to be just as intolerant towards metal kids at the show (I wasn't handed an anti-nazi flyer because I was wearing a Mayhem shirt). The first day was one of the most violent shows I’ve ever been too, which was kinda cool, but it states a lot about the nature of this area’s hardcore scene, to rabid to stand united but still strong enough keep the spirit alive. I felt the flyers passed out were a heinous statement that displayed the nearly fascist propaganda techniques, of what ever organization passed them out (was it the ARA that did so?), brilliantly enough that bands on stage were spitting to the crowd raise to hell against the horrible people who were proud to be white, big surprise, nothing happened. Anyway, there will be more shows, with more white people who are proud to be white and more feeble minded people who hate them for being that way. I think next year’s fest shouldn’t be Metal and Hardcore, one fucks the other in the ass some way. I think we need to stop making these witch hunts for racists and start making more serious stands against guys hitting girls in the pit. If you wish to flame me do so on here or at my email odiumvile@hotmail.com. Before you label me a nazi or a nazi sympathizer (I wish Aus-Rotten played), you should know that I am a Heathen who is a human racist and has immense pride in for his community, peers, and the abstract motion of Metal, not a nazi. CHEERS!
