You get to go walk around a city you don't live in (yeah I know it's Baltimore, but still), you get to see people you don't see very often and grab some grub with them, and you get to see some kick ass bands in between. The weekend I went was one of the best weekends I've ever had in my life, and the same is true of any fest I've been to. |

They've omitted bands for idiotic reasons. The whole site is a penis pulling contest amongst those with high enough points to make decisions. I love the site, but it irks me to no end when people use it as a basis of a band being "metal" or not, purely based of the sole reason of a band being present in it's database. Subjective selectivity is subjective, and downright idiotic considering most of the people that run it are real-life padawans. I'm not talking about Wren here, just the general population of the site. It's full of great admins and knowledgable people, but has become the go-to site for people making opinions on bands. Those with high enough points are allowed dictation rights, which in time will lead to internet metal elitism- something we all hate, right? :lol: /rant |
