why does it matter if its under the scaphism name or another name ...its the same band members playing the tunes. If anyone looked in the cover of our last album you would see we thanked the founder of the WCSL because he assigned us the head of the New England chapter. We never ask anyone to join and if they do it is usually free or we ask they show proof that they donated to some organiztion that helps others. It is called the world church of satanic liberation. It is an organization that gets together and talks about different things. We know satan is a christian concept and we know that there is no such thing but we embrace all that many religions have decided to call satanic. So it is a play on words. Just like how our band is a play on mock concepts and historical mishaps. The ritual we follow is that of normal conversations about philosophy. To an outsider that is christian we are "satanic". To an insider, we are the philosophers, nothing more and nothing less. But it is a really fun organization that gives us a chance to explore other peoples music and discuss all kinds of things. It doesnt lead our lives and there is no "mind control", and there is especially no antons pretending and wanting to believe so much that something exist so that way they can look like a direct descendant of this magica l power. metaphorically we can all play on words and there is nothing special about that.

wow, this turned into a witchhunt on Scaphism. i overreacted above, and for that i apologize, it's been a tough few weeks. i have been trying to put together a black metal project for quite some time, and that has been able to happen with the guys from Scaphism. THE OTHER PROJECT WE'RE WORKING ON, NOT SCAPHISM has a song i personally feel would fit very well on this. seems that the arguments in here are semantics on the band name, not the project at hand. i hope that we are considered and given a fair chance.
as for the "black metal attitude", i agree that i don't like the majority of it. but that's the bullshit elitist attitudes of individuals, like that guy Beelze, not the mentality and attitude that comes along with creating this music. without the venom and hate then you get pussy bands like Krallice and Wolves in the Throne Room trying to "re-invent" something that doesn't need to be touched. what i am trying to create, and what i feel was achieved on the songs we are working on is cold, black, menacing hate. i'm not trying to make enemies, or bring anything negative upon this great idea, i was just irked that simply seeing the name "Scaphism" brought about such an unfair judgment.
