i dont know...a band like shadows fall doesn't belong on mtv. the loyal mtv crowd will eat them up and next thing you know, you'll see kids walking around thinking they are scary with a shadows fall tshirt and slipknot patches all over their pants. its a gross thought. <br> <br>and the thought of 13 year old tank top girls dancing around at their shows is painful to mre as well. you could say i am over-reacting, but then again..you just dont know. <br> <br>i hope they just go in and out. thats not bad at all.

i dunno. Im sure theres more to making music than driving hundreds of miles to play shows for like 13 kids, and getting 10 bux, having to work a shitty job, and trying to focus on your music while paying bills, and other shit gets in the way. I think its about time that bands with accomplished musicians are getting credit, and perhaps might have the chance to do what they love, and live off it. Theres nothing wrong with that. I think the success of shadows fall, and even thursday, and poison the well will open doors, and give other oppurtunities <br>who knows maybe numetal is like our glam rock, and metalcore will be the next grunge, and ruin all that nu metal shit

shadows fall has been on their way to pop selloutness for quite some time. this is just the icing on the cake. them, killswitch engage, and poison the well are well on their way to being the new favorite bands of every kid in a slipknot jumpsuit, and every stupid teenie bopper little girl whos fathers didn't give them enough attention so they goto ozzfest shows so guys will grab their boobs. what a fantastic day for metal and hardcore and all those bands. well i saw SHADOWS FALL on friday at the met. it was a great show. i enjoyed it and so did many other people around me!!! yeah they played that NEW SONG that MTV knows about..it rocked!! but so does his awasome dread locks!! but i mean who ever really watches that mtvcrap anyways?? to kill time.. and if the right person watches it at the right time to see some thing that is keeping the scene more alive and the cylce of bands flowing.. im all 4 it!! LAMB OF GOD was the best!!!! GO INTO THE PITS KIDS!!

i agree with xmikex as soon as slipknot fags get a hold of it, its trash,fuck waisting you money on them so they can water down "metalcore" a genre that many kids in small time bands craft and hold so dear. Money is money if you get it sellin crack or if you get it selling records but then again we all can't be rappers. Skinless played with Static X in Japan on the Beastfest (I found out from their website) maybe they'll sell out and all the manson fag kids can say "I'm skinless" or some gay shit. fuck music, there is no such thing i'm a grind kid really. But I support the <br>local hardcore/metal bands because I am friends with em and at least I only have to pay $6-$8 as apposed to $25 to see Slipknot (like I ever would). By the way someone told me they used the words "plauge" and "abortion" what the fuck is with that, I didn't know that was corpiratly exceptable???? guess who I am.....

So as soon as they get any attention from their music, they suck right? Pretty pathetic. I like lots of different music, including Slipknot. That makes me a sheep in the majority of your eyes right? The ones that posted here that are Shadows Fall fans should decide that they suck now just because MTV gave them some attention. One minute the metal community says that they hate nu-metal and instead should listen to other forms of metal that you believe are better, then in the next breath you get pissed because too many people are listening to a particular type of band that fits into that catagory, and you deem them sell-outs.
Like bands because you like their music, not by how many fans they have or what kind of people enjoy that music.

i think i speak for this entire board when I say that nobody cares what you listen to especially if that includes slipknot. i really don't care much for this "sheep of the majority" criticism. i DONT think nu-metal kids are stupid because they listen to music that gets radio play. i just think the whole deal all together is pretty fruity. shadows fall could be the most underground band in the world for all i care. it still wouldn't change the fact that I didn't like Of One Blood. I thought it was a stupid cd, with stupid songs. I don't like fruity melodic parts every 10 seconds, I don't like gay clean vocal parts every 5 seconds, and don't like half assed breakdowns. They're great musicians....fantastic for them....so is Bon Jovi arguably but that doesn't mean I have to like Bon Jovi now do i?
so to reitterate, as i've done so many times before-

of one blood - not a good cd, i gave up.
The fact is that their music changed, and they purposely changed it to get such media attention. If that's what they wanna do then fine, but i don't like the direction the music went in, and just because they still called Shadows Fall doesn't mean I have to keep liking it.

I don't care whats in your cd collection. I don't care who you think you are. I don't care what you think you know. I don't care what you think of me.
