the funny thing about the DI show was that he called me literally as i was walking out the door to go there...after the supposed "load-in time"...and he stutters for about a minute and i say
me: "what the fuck do you want im gonna be there in 2 minutes?"
kenny: "ummmm i need a PA"
me: "what do you mean you need a PA? you didn't have one in advance?"
kenny: "no i thought one of the bands was gonna bring one. can't you?"
me: "ours sucks and is in no way intended for public use"
kenny: "but nobody else has one."
me: "I NEED DUCT TAPE FOR IT TO WORK! HOW THE FUCK DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DO THIS IT'S NOT EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE TO ME!"
kenny: "cmon man i need a PA"
me: "jesus christ...i'll be there in an hour"
then he took approximately 45 minutes to get me duct tape from the owner...just so i could get the one speaker out of the two we had to work right and hope it was loud enough....ridiculous.
to make a long story short...even though you've already read it...he didn't understand that a PA is needed for every show, and didn't think it was fucked up to depend on someone at the last second for something so crucial. then ask them for a ride home and harrass them while drunk the whole night...asshole

We've had issues with Kenny in the past, Jeff our guitar player almost knocked him out outside some place in Worcester, I think it was Octaine. He's never payed us a dime which isn't that big of a deal considering we're not really drawing a lot of people or any for that matter. But the guy does get us shows, and sometimes they are quality, I don't think we're really in a postion to say no to that, but I would never sacrifice my integrity to do any favors for the kid thats for damm sure.

I don't know if we boycott him but I'd sure as shit like to find someone else to work with as far as booking shows. We're relatively new, we've only been a band for about a year now maybe less so we're just trying to get whatever we can. If someone else will book us for shit that'd be the balls but until that happens we're pretty much stuck.

My only advice is FUCK KENNY, don't rely on someone else to book your band, work for it! At least you guys don't beg to be on every show. Booking your own shows will do you more favors in the long run, instead of relying on some lying two faced cunt like Kenny. You have to realize that Kenny knows your a young band, he'll take advantage of you easily.

Fuck that. Let's book another sick show, Pillory, BIS, Despised Icon, Goratory, and a good national or two. Then we'll hand it to Kenny saying we can't find anywhere to do the show, and let him book a club sound, etc.
Trick is, let's not tell the bands they're playing, and don't give Kenny the contact info. Let's see how much money he's got after his entire bill doesn't show up.
