Here are the first steps I took, and this is just what works for me personally: -Quit all fast food, including Taco Bell. It will be missed, but I've eaten more than enough for a life time. Maybe one day I'll reacquaint myself with it but on a moderate basis. -Stopped eating fried food, candy, snack foods and large portions. -Replaced soda with water, sports drinks (mainly low sugar, since corn syrup is fucking horrible for you), fruit juice and the occasional diet soda. -Started jogging 2 miles in the morning before work -After work I do a 20 minute warm up on the ellipticals at the gym, then do about an hour with weights for whatever the focus is that day, then 40 minutes of cardio on whatever machine I feel like doing. -Sleeping 7-9 hours a night helps a lot too. This is no "diet" that I'm doing, this is what people should do (for the most part) every day of their lives. Fuck crash dieting or trends; they never work forever and always tend to cause detriment to some part of your body, mind or emotions. As soon as I reach my goal of being 185 with a decent amount of toned muscle mass, I'll probably start dabbling in junk food again, just as long as I stay on top of regular exercise. If I don't keep this up, I'll have a bad back, worse knees, manboobs forever, no energy, no endurance, no libido and die young and disgusting in due time. Fuck that.
