| __________________________________ [Jan 5,2010 9:44am - arktouros ""] agreed it's crucial to development. i just have more fun playing dragon age, and i'm not even 9 years old anymore. really though, aside from being a tacticial RPG with character development, it's tough to compare them. graphics aside, dragon age has a lot more classical RPG elements like dungeon crawling and conversation and moral quest choices, as well as completely different paths and play styles. i'm saying if it came out back in the day, it would have made SF look silly. SF is like...a rung on the ladder and dragon age is the top, man... ok enough ranting about fucking video games. gotta werk. and old bathory is an experience, while new satyricon is just something to listen to. |

Coupled with the mouse command system, the console version completely fails. You can play the entire pc version like baldurs gate if you want. Otherwise it controls similar to world of Warcraft but more in depth. Combat pausing and all that. |

Again, not all of them do, but it seems that squareenix (anyone who doesn't know the signifigance of this company and claims to be an rpg fan should be shot on the spot) has been on a decline since they merged. Just about every squarespft game was solid. Most Enix games were solid too.. but it seems quality is diminishing as each year passes. |

I actually read most of the codices as I acquired them so the history of the world with its cultures and religions is really visceral. In particular the naming of everything is very well done.
