When the Follower gets downed all the enemies will stop attacking them and attack the player. Followers can be killed by you while kneeling. Most characters that you can marry can become a follower as well (not all, though). Followers in Skyrim are set to your level the first time they spawn. Follower also can be made to steal things, wait in certain areas, sit in chairs, or attack people for you. This can be very useful if you don't possess the skills on your own. Note that if you make a follower steal an item or attack a passive NPC you still acquire the bounty. Most followers can become Blades, and will be given a free set of Blades armor and a Blades sword. This can be done to up to 3 followers by speaking to Delphine at Sky Haven Temple. If you start the quest Alduin's Wall and let Esbern and Delphine follow you to the objective you effectively gain two extra human followers who can not die permanently so long as you do not actually attempt to complete the quest. If this is combined with the conjuration perk twin souls, a traditional follower and the purchase of a dog you can bring the total number of creatures following and fighting for you up to six. This can however make it difficult at times to backtrack through doors and passages. (actually you can with skill 90 in conjuration reanimate two conjurors / summoners and have them summon additional two minions in addition with Shadowmare, bring you up to a total of 9 followers) If told to wait, a follower will wait for about 3 days before they get tired and leave you, they will return to their home or the location you found them in on their own. |

There's some broad that gets murdered by a forswarn in the market square. Some dude gives you a note to meet him, and sends you on a quest to figure out the forsworn conspiracy. I follow the whole thing, interview people, unravel this whole plot, and am told to return to the dude at the temple. I get there ... and he's dead. Nada. Two guards standing nearby do nothing. Typical talk about sweetrolls and arrows to the knee. The quest is left hanging at Return to Whatsisbutt. I looked it up, and there's some guards that are supposed to jump me in the shrine and start the next phase of the quest. But it doesn't happen. So instead, I dropped 30,000+ on a SWEET FUCKING MANSION in Solitude. I wanted a place with an alchemy table AND an enchanting table. This house is badass. |
