Menu is a little clunky but better than oblivions. Remember how you used to have to scroll through like 8704043043 random books to get to your repair hammers in the "misc" section? This game rules. |

If you've done the "Golden Claw" mission (one of the first ones you can do), you get to fight the Undead and waltz through a snowy cave with waterfalls. pretty epic. |

I dig it. yeah, i like the combat a lot. it's not dark souls caliber, but still far better than oblivion's. they added enough to keep it interesting. shield bash, dual wield anything, perks make it a bit deeper. there's a good sense of "weight" behind swings and spells. i've missed a heavy swing with a two-hander and fallen off a cliff more than once. |

Combat here is pretty much what I expected it to be, same as Oblivion essentially. I do have to complain about the PC UI though. HOLY SHIT ITS ATROCIOUS. I'm not speaking about the looks either, I'm speaking about maxed-out mouselook that's still really slow, keys that don't react once reassigned (neither the new key nor the old key will allow me to pick up a book, for example). The menu system also seems very counter-intuitive to me. I like not being able to use my CURSOR to choose items on screen... meh. Will take some getting used to. |

I also don't like how they dumbed down the speech and bartering system; however, the whole smithing thing is pretty cool, although I havn't really utilized it a whole lot. I've barely done quests, I've just been roaming around at random, robbing and killing people in the wilderness. |
